Carolyn R. Leka, 69, of Illiopolis, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at her residence.

Carolyn was born on March 5, 1947 in Springfield.  She married Robert Allen Leka on January 9, 1965; he preceded her in death on March 11, 2002.

Carolyn worked as a rural mail carrier, drove a school bus and was a member of Illiopolis Christian Church.  She enjoyed reading, baking, watching NASCAR, watching her grandson, Wade, play baseball and following her family around watching their stock car racing.

 She was also preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol DeVos, her boyfriend Mike Weitekamp, and his son, Jayden all of Buffalo; one grandson, Wade DeVos; one nephew, Robert “Buff” (Terri Beth) Clark of Illiopolis; one great nephew, Zachary; several nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Jim Leka.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 23, 2016 at Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home in Illiopolis.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Illiopolis Christian Church with Reverend Melissa Ebken officiating.  Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family of Carolyn R. Leka c/o Fullenwider Park Funeral Home.
