Gary Martin Johansen, 59, of Illiopolis, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at his residence.

Gary was born on February, 8, 1958 in Los Angeles, CA the son of Alf Ronald Johansen and Mary Jane Burge.

Gary worked at Bordens Chemical Plant, he was also a security guard and he worked in construction.  He loved his family and lived life to the fullest.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; three brothers, Ronald Johansen, Jimmie Sheward and Donald Peratt; and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by three sisters, Julia Johansen Cotton, Deborah (Murray) Sheward Otto and Beverly Peratt Perkinson; two brothers, Pastor Allen (Teresa) Peratt and Thomas (Norma) Peratt; one aunt, Sarah (DR) Burge Boyett; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
