Jo Ann Hinton

Jo Ann Hinton, 85, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Villa Health Care East.

She was born October 19, 1932 in Bedford, IN the daughter of Joe and Betty Sloate. Jo Ann graduated from the University of Tulsa, where she met and later married Norman Hinton on August 21, 1954.

Mrs. Hinton loved and cared about her family. She was a member of The Cathedral Church of St. Paul the Apostle.

Jo Ann is survived by her five children, Susan E. (Walter) Hinton-Johnson of Santa Clara, CA, Chris (Thelma) Hinton of Petersburg, Michael (Yvonne) Hinton, Paonia, CO, Geoff Hinton of Salt Lake City, UT, Martin L. (Donna) Hinton of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; and 11 Great Grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman on May, 31, 2015, and her sister, Sue Thisler.

Services will be private for the family.
