Mary Ruth Drillinger, 96, of Rochester, passed away on January 4, 2018 at Regency Care in Springfield.

Mary was born on October 29, 1921 in Springfield, the daughter of William and Mary Minser. She married Fred Drillinger on June 29, 1946 in Rochester; he preceded her in death in 2007.

Mary was a member of the Rochester United Methodist Church, and Women’s club. She enjoyed reading, embroidering and was a good cook.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Clarence Drillinger; three brothers, John, Jim and Bill Minser; and two sisters Irene Beasey and Mae Martin.

She is survived by one son, David (Gail) Drillinger; two grandchildren, Eric and Claire Drillinger; one sister, Nell Dillon; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 2-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, may be made to the Rochester High School Band Department.
