Anna Thompson, 93, of Buffalo, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021. Anna was born on December 21, 1927, in Mechanicsburg, the daughter of James and Ada (Jones) Brown. She married Howard Thompson on March 23, 1946, and he preceded her in death in 2009. Anna was a member of Grace Community Fellowship Church in Buffalo. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking cookies, spending time with her family, reading, and sending cards to friends and family.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard; sister, Frances "Bun" Aleshire; brother, Jim Brown; and granddaughters Maria and Megan Thompson. She is survived by her children, Jane (Steve) Bradley, Mark (Karen) Thompson, Jill (Frank) Bowen; grandchildren, Becky (Josh Smoyer) and Stephen Bradley, Ben and Charlie Thompson, Kara (Josh) Bisby, and Jamie (Michael) Cobby; great-grandchildren Makayla, Jessica, Jack, and "Little" Anna; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 26, at Mechanicsburg Cemetery with Reverend Larry Hanson officiating. A funeral service will be held following the graveside at 12:00 P.M. at Grace Community Fellowship Church, 294 W. South Street, Buffalo, IL. 62515.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Tri-City Education Foundation or to Grace Community Fellowship Church.
