Barbara "Bobbie Jo" (Jiannoni) Stokes

Barbara “Bobbie Jo” Stokes.  October 28, 1943 to September 3, 2023.  Daughter of Betty Lou Jiannoni, Carl Jiannoni, and Robert Moriconi.  Preceded in death by her Husband, Walter C. Stokes Sr. and her son, Walter C. “Butch” Stokes Jr. of Edinburg, IL.  Survived by her daughter, Betty Jo Stokes.  Barbara was born in Louisiana, but grew up in Springfield, IL.  She settled with her husband in Edinburg, IL where she lived for the rest of her life.  Barbara and Walter walked through life as a strong pair.  They lived, worked, and played together for over 55 years.  Retiring in 2005 from the motorcycle business that she owned and operated (B&J Speed Shop), she spent time camping, ATVing, and spending time with her family.  While she slowed down in the last few years, she still possessed a sense of adventure and desire to travel.  She was greatly loved and will be forever missed. 

Visitation will be held at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 109 E. Washington Street, in Edinburg, on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 with Reverend Larry Hanson officiating. Burial will follow at Edinburg Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the ASPCA.
