Larry Michael Craig

Larry Michael Craig, 74, of Springfield, IL passed away at St. John’s Hospital on April 1st, 2021 in the company of his family.

Larry was born in Petersburg, IL on May 17, 1946 the son of Joseph and Opal (Ferguson) Craig.

On November 5, 1965 he married his wife, Sandra Barrow and they had 55 years together.

Larry was the owner and operator of Craig’s Heating and Air Conditioning in Springfield from 1975 till his retirement in 2002. He was an avid gardener and loved farming.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Larry is survived by his wife, Sandra Craig; 1 son, Michael Craig (Christina); 1 daughter, Tina Roberts (David); several grandchildren, Brandon Craig, Justin Roberts (Lauren), Josh Craig, Duane Craig, Zachary Roberts (Molli) and Jeffery Robinson; sisters Frances Houser and Mary Smith (Bill); brothers, Bob Craig (Barb) and Sam Craig (Rose); as well as several Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.

Services for Larry will be held on Monday April 5, 2021 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th St. Springfield, IL 62702. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday April 6 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home and he will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery on Clearlake.

All in attendance are encouraged to wear casual attire.

The funeral home will be observing CDC and IDPH guidelines and guest are required to wear a mask when entering the building.

Memorial contributions can be made the Alzheimer’s Association.
