Theotis Davis Obituary

Theotis, “Stub” Davis, 90, of Edinburg, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Meadow Manor in Taylorville.

She was born on April 12, 1930, in Christian County, the daughter of Otis and Mamie (Graham) Owens. She married Robert D. Davis on October 9, 1948 and he preceded her in death June 12, 2006. Stub was a homemaker, who with her husband raised 7 children. She enjoyed puzzles, word searches, needlepoint, and spending time with her family and grandchildren and made the best fried chicken.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; two brothers and four sisters.

Stub is survived by her children, Darrell (Marisol) Davis, Cheryl (Wayne) Sharp, Debbie (Rob) Swinger, Bobby (Sue) Davis, Kenny (Jo Ellen) Davis, Kevin (Betty) Davis and Marilyn Summers; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; two sisters Medann Durbin and Theresa Thomas and several nieces nephews and cousins.

Private family funeral services will be held and burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.

 Memorial donations may be made to the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or ANSAR Shriners.

Wilson Park Funeral Home, 109 E. Washington St. in Edinburg is in charge of arrangements.
