Norman Grist Obituary

Norman Crist, 68, of Mt. Auburn, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019 surrounded by his family.

Norman was born on October 23, 1950 in Mt. Auburn the son of William and Susie (Shartzer) Crist.

Norman served our county for many years before retiring from the United States Army. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and listening to all types of music. Norman enjoyed square dancing and had a fondness for nice cars. He was also a BCA Pool League member.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William Allen Crist II, Russell Crist, David Crist and John Crist; sisters, Diane Crist and Nancy Crist; and his ex-wife, Pamela Crist

He is survived by his son, Russell Allen Crist; daughter, Tonya Jane Denver; brother, Charles Crist; sisters, Edith Moore, Wilma Moore and Lorretta Hettinger; grandchildren, Haleigh Vance, Devon Allen Crist-Dohoney, Ryder Crist, Adalyn Crist, Nathaniel Denver, Arionna Denver and Janessa Crist; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Cremation will be accorded. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Riverside Cemetery, Illiopolis with military honors.
