Brenda Lee (Houchin) Smith

Brenda Lee (Houchin) Smith 60, of Springfield, IL passed away at Heritage Manor on Friday November 13, 2020.

Brenda was born in Kalamazoo, MI on April 15, 1960 the daughter of Berman (Bud) and Marge Houchin. For years Brenda was a cosmetologist and did hair in Ashland and Pleasant Plains. She enjoyed being around her 3 children and watching their sporting events. She also enjoyed spending time with her husband and being on the farm. Brenda loved being outdoors and loved camping with her family and friends. Brenda especially loved being around all her grand babies and spending as much time with them as she could. Brenda was preceded in death by her husband Henry (Hank) Smith, both her parents Bud and Marge Houchin, her in-laws, Leslie and Gertrude Smith and one sister Jenny.
Brenda was survived by 3 children. Tiffany (Ryan) Kleimenhagen of Springfield,IL, Jared (Samantha) Smith of Litchfield,IL, and Courtney Smith of Springfield,IL. 5 grandchildren, Madison, Christopher, Nate, Jaxcyn, and Berkley. She is also survived by two brothers Bud and Mark Houchin of Ashland, IL and one sister Kathy Jo Beddingfield of Petersburg, IL. She is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews. Cremation services are being accorded by Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home of Springfield and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
