Sarah J (Saulsbury) Moore

Sarah J. Moore, , of Illiopolis, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Sarah was born on February 12, 1954, in Springfield, the daughter of Elmer and Mabel (Clayton) Saulsbury. 

Sarah enjoyed knitting, flower gardening, playing cards, Candy Crush and her beloved dog sissy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Franklin Moore Sr., 5 brothers Owen, Elmer, Don, Jerry Lee, and Larry Saulsbury and one sister, Lucille Bullock.

Sarah is survived by her children, David (Lula) Freligh, Larry Freligh, Christina Moore, and Frank (Krystal) Moore, Jr.; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one brother James Saulsbury; one sister, Mary Reich and several nieces and nephews. The family would also like to thank Harry Bullock Jr. and Helen Flynn for their time spent coming to visit Sarah and friendship.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 24, at Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home, 432 7th Street, in Illiopolis, from 12:00pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00PM with Pastor Chuck Ferris Officiating. Friends are welcome to the join the family at Sarah’s home following the graveside for a Celebration of Life.

Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Illiopolis.
