Shaun O (Hansen) Walter

Shaun Walter, 84, of Rochester, Illinois, peacefully past away June 24, 2022, at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.  She was born September 24, 1937 in Honeybend, Illinois.  She married William Walter September 18, 1981 in Rochester Illinois.  She worked for Horace Mann for several years before retiring in 1988.  She began working for Rochester Schools as playground and lunch room assistant, then became a bus driver for several years.  She was well loved by all of her kids on her buses and she truly loved her job.  She retired from Rochester Schools at the age of 75 in 2012 after over 24 years of service.
She and her husband enjoyed many years at their cabin on the Illinois River, fishing and boating and relaxing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her  husband, William Walter, her daughter, Sandra March, sister Peggy Middlebrook, sister Ruth Middlebrook, brother John Marsh.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (George) Walsh of Missouri, daughter Debe Buck of Charleston, SC, Laurie (Bill) White, her best and closest friend for the past several years; and Brittany (Lee), Wesley and Emma Mendenhall.

This service will be a shared Graveside service for Shaun and William Walter at 2PM on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Rochester Cemetery as well as William receiving military honors.  All are welcome to attend the graveside.

Rest In Peace Shaun (Mom), you will be so truly missed.
