My apology for not being there to share in the celebration of Dan's life. My memories go back to our childhood and frankly Dan's mischievous pranks and actions. Always a smile on his face and filled with energy.

Since my departure to the West Coast so many years ago, my sisters, now Becky alone, has kept me posted on the family and she has lways been able to share praise reports on Dan and his family.

May God bring peace and loving memories of this wonderful man.

Lisa, Kyle and Cole,
Please accept our heartfelt sympathies. Crannie told us about Dan's passing. Not living in Peoria or getting back very often, it was an incredible shock. John will always have fond memories of playing softball with Dan, Fergie, Russ, etc. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am so truly honored and blessed to have known Dan. Life presents people along the path that are special. Dan was as solid/well rounded of a man that I have come across. He made you feel special in simply treating you as we all wanted to be treated, respected and thought of as important in what we say and do. Inmate, stranger, co-worker, friend, sports opponent, teammate, etc.., it did not matter, you were treated with respect and made to feel that you matter in this world. A rare quality at times these days. A relaxed sense of humor that was always leaving a smile on your face. Thoughts and prayers to Lisa, Cole, Kyle, and family.

I New Dan when I used to work at Evolutions Hair Salon. Dan was a kind and very funny man. Dan had a zest for life and was a wonderful family man. I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of him. As a survivor myself I know the fight that Dan went through. Heaven has received a very special angel! Rest in peace Dan you will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Lisa, I'm saddened to hear about Dan's passing. I have some real fond memories of hanging out with him our senior year at RHS and going 4 wheeling with his monster pickup! He was one funny guy and his laugh was contagious. I hadn't kept in touch after high school but I'm sure his sense of humor and smile and his ability to connect to people never changed. Again, I'm sorry for your loss and hope you find peace and comfort in the lifetime of memories you have shared. Prayers to you and the boys.

Life can be unfair - but Dan's death is unfair to the rest of us. Govt jobs in corrections are usually tough and draining, and Dan kept the courtroom boat afloat by being upbeat, reliable, fun, and helpful to everyone from the judges to the prisoners. He made our lives more pleasant and our purpose more important. Thanks to the sheriffs that hired and employed Dan for three decades - he served you well.

Lisa, Cole and Kyle,

We were so saddened to hear of Dan's passing. The first thing Alex told me was what a great coach he was and that he taught him so much about baseball.

What a terrific guy. His kind spirit will live on

Gordon Henderson and family.
